Keyboard and Types of Keys
A keyboard is a device used for inputting text and commands into a computer or other electronic device. It is comprised of an arrangement of keys that represent letters, numbers, symbols, and functions.
The modern keyboard layout is based on the QWERTY layout, which was designed in the 1870s by Christopher Latham Sholes for the first practical typewriter.
QWERTY was designed to prevent typewriter keys from jamming by separating commonly used letter pairs.
